Stephanie Miller, CMP, VAHTP
Music has always been a part of Stephanie’s life. Her first instruments were piano and the flute. Later, while studying at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, she started playing the harp.
After finishing her B.S in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in music, Stephanie enrolled in the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). She graduated as a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) in March of 2008. In the fall of 2009, Stephanie completed her training with Sarajane Williams, MA, VAHT, as a Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy Practitioner. Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT) is a unique method of applying live harp music to help bring one’s body back into balance. Stephanie is currently providing VAHT services by appointment.
Stephanie is a composer and a performer, and her original music has been featured in two documentaries: Discover Ireland: A Literary Adventure(2005) and most recently in Bethany’s Story: The Power from Within (2013). She also performed in and provided music for Dinosaur Diorama’s webseries All’s Faire.
Currently, Stephanie Miller works as a Music Specialist for the Early Childhood Development Center at The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh. Stephanie provides music for memorial services at local hospitals including throughout the UPMC Healthcare System and the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. She also works as a CMP playing the harp at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems and Manor Care North Hills.
She offers Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy sessions at Green Heiress Holistic Health in Aspinwall, PA. She also participates in the annual Hillman Integrative Wellness Fair offering demos of Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy for attendees.
Stephanie also provides music for various events including weddings as well as private and corporate events. She performs live harp music for restorative yoga classes held at local yoga studios. Robert and Stephanie facilitate drum circles at Green Heiress Holistic Health and at other local events.
